When the AdBlue warning light lights up on the Volkswagen Tiguan display, it means that the additional fluid level in the special tank is insufficient. To make the warning light go out, it will therefore be necessary to top up AdBlue: the liquid must be poured into the duct accessible from the luggage compartment.
So we bought our new T6 yesterday and were on our long drive home. I stopped at the services for a quick Maccies and once I got back on the motorway the AdBlue light came on saying "650miles till unable to start" Ober the course of the rest of our journey this went down in 50 mile chunks. Got home and it said 500 miles till unable to start.
No MIL (per se) but a warning pops up on the display "200 miles until no start" and an amber warning flashes on and off every 5 seconds to warn about the ADblue system. There was no 1500 mile warning about needing to refill the Adblue tank. By the time I get home, the warning is at "150 miles until no start." Scanned the car with VCDS and found:
I got the warning about a week ago and filled it when it was very low but I thought it would reset after driving it 30 miles and leaving the car a few days. Does anyone know how to reset the adblue warning? I've left the car on without starting for 20 min like advised and even got more adblue and filled to brim. Any help appreciated!
An AdBlue warning light in a Vauxhall typically means there’s an issue with the emissions control system. This could be because the AdBlue fluid level is low, a sensor is broken, or there’s a problem with the AdBlue pump or injectors. The warning light comes on to alert the driver to refill or repair the AdBlue system.
