Afterseven years of minor upgrades, 2008 marked the next step in the Transalp evolution - the XL 700V. More than just a capacity upgrade, the 2008 Transalp was a complete style upgrade too, featuring vertically-stacked headlights, smaller (19") front wheel wrapped in a wider 100/90 tyre and an all-new 'Adventure Sports' bodywork design.

ItsAdventure Sports styling is characterised by compact, sporty bodywork and unique graphics. The heart of the XL700V Transalp is a smooth-revving 680cc fuel-injected V-twin engine. It delivers impressive roll-on acceleration and strong, torque-filled performance, especially in its wide midrange. General information.

Ihave owned my Honda Transalp for 16 months now and I still enjoy the bike. I think the Transalp is one of the best all-round bikes, especially for riders o
Thehandling of all three bikes was very reassuring, the Versys and TA being quite flickable, the V-strom being more stable with precise steering, similar to a more traditional road orientated machine. The quality of ride on the Transalp was the best, the Suzuki definately has budget suspension, with lots of clatter over rougher surfaces. . 384 173 315 58 46 172 67 170 357
